![]() ![]() The Razer headset app has some seriously negative reviews that report issues like the sound bars being immovable and navigation being laggy. The app only offers control for Razer headsets, with separate apps available for other Razer console accessories. The arguably more important console version of the app is quite the sad affair, with even the thumbnail being absent (replaced by Microsoft’s generic headset icon instead). While the headset is useful on PC, there are definitely better Razer headsets made specifically for PC gaming rather than for the Xbox. It's definitely helpful to be able to fine tune the preset modes, but these changes don't apply once the headset is being used with the Xbox. Razer's peripheral app is great on PC, offering a lot of customization options, not only for Razer headphones, but all Razer devices. The Razer Kaira Pro’s button array means no more having to deal with menus in the middle of a match, and that’s a game changer. Every function a player needs is right on their headset: volume, chat mix, Bluetooth, light modes, preset audio modes, and of course a mute switch. However, the target audience for this headset are Xbox players, and the convenience of the buttons far outweighs any perceived overcrowding. PC players will probably hate this both sides are very busy, and it takes a bit of time to get used to it. One design aspect that’s fairly different from other headsets is the number of buttons on the earcups. The overall design of the Kaira can certainly fit a wide range of people, and ultimately is the best wireless headset for Xbox players with average to larger than average head sizes. Gone are the days of central adjustments, apparently, replaced by the much more flexible and durable design implemented by the Kaira Pro (and most other modern gaming headsets). The extension can make the headband much longer, and somewhat wider. ![]() The rotating earcups make it easy to slip the entire headset into thin laptop bags or even briefcase-style bags. The Kaira Pro’s compact design doesn’t stop there either. The connection is pretty snug, which can be annoying for homebodies, but is exactly what’s needed for gamers on the go and suggests a long lifespan. More details will likely be given in the upcoming showcase.Being able to remove the mic keeps it completely safe without disrupting the connectivity.
